Samuel Purdy, 23, of Edgartown, was arraigned on April 29 charges in Edgartown of operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. He was released on personal recognizance and has a pretrial hearing on June 17.

Jozinei Ferreira, 30, of Edgartown, was arraigned on an April 29 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery on a family or household member. His bail was set at $500 and he has a pretrial hearing on May 17.

Alvaro Defreitas, 26, of Tisbury, was arraigned on an April 29 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a family or household member. His bail was set at $100 and has a pretrial hearing on June 17. Diana Lozano, 40, of Aquinnah, was arraigned on an April 29 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery. Her bail was set at $500 and she is due back in court for a June 17 pretrial hearing.

May 3

Stanley Merry Jr., 64, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on May 2 charges in Tisbury of trespassing. He was released on personal recognizance and is due back in court for a May 13 pretrial hearing.

Alexandro Braz, 40, of Edgartown, was arraigned on May 6 charges in Edgartown of operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. He was released on personal recognizance and has a pretrial hearing on July 12.
