Shotgun season for deer hunting begins Monday, Nov 27 and continues through Dec. 9.
Hunting hours on the Island are Monday through Saturday, beginning one half hour before sunrise and ending one half hour after sunset.
Primitive firearm season begins Dec. 11 and continues through Dec. 30.

Charlie Callahan So Boston/EdgartownDon't hunt anymore but my,younger frinds give me venison and I make piles of venison jerky. 1 cup brown sugar/4 tablespoons red pepper flakes/1 1/2 cups lite teryaki sauce/ 1 teaspoon salt with sodium nitrite in it to prevent anything that might be in the meat of a wild animal. Marinade for 8 hours and then dry away. That will do for ten pounds of venison.
