The Edgartown shellfish committee recently approved residential and commercial bay scallop seasons in town.

The recreational season opened on Oct. 1 and runs through March 31, 2024, with a limit of one 10-gallon basket per week. Recreational dragging in Cape Pogue pond begins Oct. 27.

Commercial bay scallop season runs from Oct. 30 to March 31, 2024, with a limit of three 10-gallon baskets per day.
