September brings with it open roads and windy skies - perfect conditions for the annual Wind Festival held in Ocean Park in each year.

This year’s festival of all things windy and airborne takes place Saturday, Sept. 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Kites are, of course, a main attraction throughout the day, but Frisbees make many appearances as do sailboat races and other projectiles.

Bring a kite or come empty handed and take part in the free kite-making workshops for children from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Adult flying competitions take place from 1 to 3 p.m.

Prizes abound in all sorts of categories for children and adults.

Rain date is Sunday.
