Aquinnah Passes Up-Island School Money

Aquinnah voters approved a $110,000 debt exclusion question to fund their share of the Up-Island Regional School District budget at the annual town election Thursday.

Aquinnah voters approved a $110,000 debt exclusion question to fund their share of the Up-Island Regional School District budget at the annual town election Thursday. 

The question, which passed with a vote of 64 to 19, topped a ballot of otherwise uncontested races. 

Voters returned select board member Julianne Vanderhoop. James Newman, James Wallen and James Mahoney were all elected to the planning board, while James Benoit was elected to board of health, Gabriella Camilleri as town clerk and Marjorie Spitz as library trustee.
