Volunteers Needed for Beach Grass Planting

Volunteers are invited to plant 20,000 beach grass stems at Lobsterville Beach on April 15.

The natural resources program of the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah) invites volunteers to plant 20,000 stems during its annual Beach Grass Planting at Lobsterville Beach. The event will be held April 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Lobsterville Road in Aquinnah.

New and previous volunteers are invited to be stewards of the land and enjoy a day on the beach. Volunteer hour certificates are available for students upon request. Breakfast and beverages will be provided by Quitsa Cuisine.
