Humpty and Dumpty.

Please Adopt Us: May 6

Unfortunately, we have no adoptions to report this week but we are optimistic as always.

Why are Humpty and Dumpty still here? Could it be their names? You can name these Guinea pig sisters anything you like. Humpty is the very sweet black and white girl, while Dumpty, the gray and white one, is very amusing. Both girls love their veggies, adore being played with and will sing your praises. And if you feel two is too much don’t fret, they will have no issues with being separated.

Our other animals in need of homes are the two elderly felines. Faith is 22 years old, and Lily is a very sweet, little tortoiseshell kitty. Both of these cats would love to find a forever home. It’s spring cleaning season, so if you have any items you would like to donate to the shelter please make an appointment rather than just leaving them at the door.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662. Hours are: Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 to 5 p.m.
