Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at beaches around the Island, the Vineyard Conservation Society holds its 29th annual beach clean-up. 

Garbage bags and work gloves will be available from VCS volunteers at the beaches, or participants may bring their own.

The conservation society also is running a clean-up photo contest, for the "coolest, weirdest or grossest thing you've found," on social media with the tag @vineyardconservation.
