Three Finalists Named for West Tisbury Fire Chief

Two West Tisbury firefighters and an officer with the West Bridgewater fire department have been named finalists.

Two West Tisbury firefighters and an officer with the West Bridgewater fire department have been named finalists for the job of retiring West Tisbury fire chief Manuel Estrella 3rd, who steps down at the end of June.

During a public Zoom session April 21, the town board of selectmen will interview William R. Choate of Lakeville, Gregory Pachico of West Tisbury and Marques C. Rivers of West Tisbury, town administrator Jennifer Rand said.

Mr. Pachico is currently deputy chief of the West Tisbury department and also is Mr. Estrella’s son in law.

Mr. Rivers is a captain with the town department and Mr. Choate is currently a lieutenant and shift officer on the staff of the West Bridgewater fire department.

The interviews are scheduled for 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 21, Ms. Rand said. Zoom information will be posted on the town website as the date approaches.
