Playhouse Cancels Summer Shows

The Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse announced today it has canceled its summer season of live productions, children’s programs and other events.

The decision was made by the playhouse board of directors and artistic and executive director MJ Bruder Munafo, according to the emailed statement.

“We intend, once this Island has been given the ‘all-clear’ signal, to resume our live productions, musical revues, poetry, art exhibits, movies, children’s camp and programs, and a multitude of dramatic activities and special events,” the announcement reads, in part.

An art auction on the playhouse website, mvplayhouse.org, is open through April 12.
