Kathie Carroll and yours truly traveled to Falmouth Academy on Oct. 5 in celebration of the 30th annual Grandparents and Friends Day. Patricia Knapp and Deborah Athearn were in attendance as well. Our three grandchildren Clara Athearn, Oona Carroll and Noah Manning are in their first year at Falmouth and all in the seventh grade. Noah’s maternal grandparents, Bill and Joan Kistner, were enjoying the day with us, traveling from their home in New York. It was nice to meet many of their teachers while we attended classes with our students. Many Vineyard grandparents were in attendance as there are 40 students from the Island out of an enrollment of 200.
