<p>Your August 3 editorial describes that issue as &ldquo;a fulsome issue that covers the waterfront of community news.&rdquo; I was surprised to see you denigrating your own paper that way.

Your August 3 editorial describes that issue as “a fulsome issue that covers the waterfront of community news.” I was surprised to see you denigrating your own paper that way. (Dictionary definition of “fulsome”: 1. Offensive to good taste, especially as being excessive; overdone or gross; 2. disgusting, sickening, repulsive.)

I found the issue to be none of these. Your editorial writer owes the staff an apology.
