Shakespeare for the Masses is back at the Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse for a winter fix with Measure for Measure, a choice inspired by the #metoo movement.

The idea behind Shakespeare for the Masses is to bring the bard’s work to the people, all of the people, by creating free shows with a contemporary feel. They are also slimmed down, to a running time of about an hour.

Expect comedic antics with a deep center.

The showtimes for this weekend are Saturday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 28 at 1 p.m.
