The Children’s Memorial at the Edgartown Lighthouse was dedicated in 2001, with cobblestones under the lighthouse engraved with the names of children who had died that year. The following year, the first Ceremony of Remembrance was held at the site, an opportunity for families and friends to gather together. Bricks have been dedicated at the lighthouse every year since.

This year’s service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Edgartown Lighthouse.
