Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center Rabbi Caryn Broitman will be awarded a doctorate of divinity from Reconstructionist Rabbinical College during the college’s 45th graduation ceremony on June 11.

A West Tisbury resident, Rabbi Broitman is among eight college alumni who will be honored during the ceremony, to be held at Congregation Keneseth Israel in Elkins Park, Pa. 19027. Recipients of the doctorate of divinity have served as rabbis for more than 25 years, acted for the betterment of the Reconstructionist movement and in keeping with Reconstructionist ideals.
