Jennifer Smith Turner of Edgartown has been elected to the board of directors of the Newman’s Own Foundation.

Ms. Turner is president and chief executive officer of Smith & Associates LLC, a company that specializes in assisting organizations achieve their strategic and operational potential. She is also the retired CEO of the Girl Scouts of Connecticut.

She is also a published poet, and a graduate of Union College and Fairfield University.

Newman’s Own Foundation was established by Paul Newman to use the profits and royalties from the sale of Newman’s Own products to support charitable causes.
