Sixteen tennis professionals teamed up with 36 amateur players at the second annual Martha’s Vineyard Community Tennis Pro Am held at Farm Neck Golf Club on Saturday, August 20.

Jimmy Arias, the former number five ranked player in the world, led his team of Paul Adler, Max Potter, and Megan Farrell to victory. According to a press release, Jimmy’s Jammers claimed victory with strategic substitutions and increasing level of play when warranted. Tyler’s Mustaches, led by Farm Neck’s assistant pro Tyler Owens, came in second in the round robin format competition.

After the Pro Am celebrity pros conducted a clinic and question and answer session for juniors and adults.

Vineyard Youth Tennis executive director Scott Smith organized the Pro Am, and he thanked all the sponsors, Farm Neck Golf Club, Farm Neck head tennis pro Mark Johns, and all the tennis pros —including 12 local pros — that participated in the tournament.
