Meet the Fleet on Thursday, August 4, at the Menemsha Harbor.

From 4 to 7 p.m. local fishermen and those who love them will be at the docks to share fish tales, serve up a raw bar, officiate crab races and net mending contests, and basically hang out. There will be music by Goodnight Louise and a host of other seaworthy adventures, done dockside.

The event is brought to you by the Martha’s Vineyard Fishermen’s Preservation Trust.
