The board and staff of the Martha’s Vineyard Museum are holding a welcoming reception for Phil Wallis, the new executive director of the museum, on Friday, March 18.

The reception will be held at the Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The public is welcome.

Mr. Wallis is the former director of the National Audubon Society’s Pennsylvania office and a longtime summer visitor to the Vineyard. He was named to succeed David Nathans earlier this year, and began work in mid-February.
