The Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse is hosting an art reception on Saturday, Jan. 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. for local photographer Paul Doherty. The exhibit is called Reflective Abstraction and will remain at the Playhouse Art Space through Feb. 4.

Mr. Doherty moved to the Vineyard two years ago after a 30-year acting career in theatre, film, TV and radio in New York city and Los Angeles.
