Nominations are being accepted for the annual Spirit of the Vineyard Award. The award honors a person who has served for one or more nonprofit organizations on the Island, and whose work has made a difference. Selflessness, range and depth of service performed, length of volunteer service and effect on the quality of life for both individuals and for the Island community as a whole are all criteria that will be considered.

Formerly sponsored by Hospice of Martha’s Vineyard, the award is now sponsored by Vineyard Village at Home. Nominations can be emailed to [email protected] or sent to Spirit of the Vineyard, PO Box 1356, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568.

The deadline is Sept. 29.
