Several Martha’s Vineyard Hospital employees have received excellence awards from Partners HealthCare, the hospital’s parent company.

Partners in Excellence Awards are presented annually to recipients who contribute “above and beyond the call of duty” as nominated by their colleagues, according to a press release.

Nurse Anna Truckey of Oak Bluffs and the hospital chief of staff, Dr. Pieter Pil of Vineyard Haven, received awards for leadership and innovation. Patient counselor Laurie D. Marotta of Vineyard Haven received an award for quality treatment and service. Nurse Richard Huffam of West Tisbury received an award for teamwork.
