As the Sail Martha’s Vineyard winter lecture and dinner series continues this month, Matthew Stackpole will be at the Black Dog Tavern on Feb. 11. Mr. Stackpole was the ship historian and a major figure in the restoration and historic 38th voyage of the Charles W. Morgan last year. The Morgan is the last surviving whaleship.

Sail MV is dedicated to preserving Island maritime history by supporting educational and other community programs, especially for Island young people.
