The Vineyard Peace Council invites the whole community to the Gay Head Light on Wednesday, August 6, at 6 a.m. to mark the beginning of the 70 years since the U.S. bombed Hiroshima.
The Vineyard Peace Council invites the whole community to the Gay Head Light on Thursday, August 6, at 6 a.m. to mark the beginning of the 70 years since the U.S. bombed Hiroshima.
Everyone will have an opportunity at this gathering to speak and to keep silence and to work, pray and give for peace.
Rides will be provided. We will leave at 5:15 a.m. from the Cronig’s Vineyard Haven store, and at 5:30 a.m. from Alley’s in West Tisbury.
