This Monday, July 7, begins the Monday Night Specials at the Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse with Edward L. Beck’s Sweetened Water on the Patricia Neal Stage.

This Monday, July 7, begins the Monday Night Specials at the Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse with Edward L. Beck’s Sweetened Water on the Patricia Neal Stage. Rev. Beck is a Catholic priest, author and retreat leader who often contributes to news outlets.

The Vineyard is the setting for his play about a recent widow dealing with her sorrow and an uncertain road ahead. Enter Richard, a priest who has just lost his mother, and a story of grief, faith and intimacy unfolds.

The Monday readings highlight new works for one performance only. All readings begin at 7:30 p.m. and usually include a question-and-answer session afterward.

Tickets are $25 and benefit the playhouse. For more information, call 508-687-2452 or visit mvplayhouse.org.
