Two Martha’s Vineyard Youth Lacrosse players have been selected for the Mass Bay Colonials Lacrosse team, and they will compete at the World Lacrosse Championships this summer.

Jacob Gundersun and Colby Zarba were chosen as inaugural members of the Mass Bay Colonials, and they will also represent the Island and all of New England at the World Lacrosse Championships this July in Denver, Colo. They were chosen after an intense tryout from more than 150 of the top lacrosse players from town and club teams in Eastern Massachusetts. Jacob and Colby will participate in a week-long training camp with their respective teams at Deerfield Academy, and then they will board a plane for Denver to compete against teams from other regions of the country. The team is sponsored by the Mass Bay Youth Lacrosse League and Trilogy Lacrosse.
