Stop & Shop has proven it is a good neighbor, and that they keep their word. They have been very generous to many local causes, and I am sure that they will construct a very nice new building. I also understand that the new building will increase parking downtown and will help clean up the area. Stop & Shop needs a new modern store and Vineyard Haven needs some sprucing up. This sounds like a good deal for everybody.

We all know that the review process is very difficult on the Vineyard so I am confident that whatever is approved will be good for the Island. So please do not delay things any longer and get this project done.
