Anna Duarte is currently recovering at Massachusetts General Hospital due to illness. Anna was a nurse at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital into her 80s and has continued to devote much of her time to helping others.

Her friend Trina Kingsbury said that Ms. Duarte exemplifies the saying that “if you love people, they love you back.” Ms. Duarte was named Miss Senior Citizen of Tisbury about 10 years ago.

This is very nice article,my aunt is a very giving,kind woman,and praying she's home soon.Just wanted to correct one thing,she isn't a nurse,and i don't remember her working at the hospital..but has always helped others.Thank you

Please pass on my good wishes for a speedy recovery. Although Anna and I have never met, she and my mother, Mary-Ann, were very good friends. My mom passed away two years ago and Anna and I have kept in touch since then. Please let me know when she returns home
