Thanks for your article about Lenny Jason Jr. He is a great guy. One important thing you left out, however. He was a great softball player, too. In his youth he was a catcher in Chilmark’s Sunday games at Toomey Field. He wore no mask and would crouch inches below the batter’s swing. With good-natured heckling he could frequently get the hitter to swing at wild pitches — striking out. I’m sure these talents caused him to be a superb building inspector.
