United Way Grants

The Cape and Islands United Way early this month announced the 2010 Community Investment Grant recipients, totaling $559,000. Vineyard groups that received grants are: American Red Cross, Cape and Islands Chapter (shelter and medical kits); Vineyard Health Care Access Program (prescription medication assistance program); Vineyard Nursing Association (point of care laptop upgrades); Vineyard Playhouse Company (Fourth Grade Theatre Project); Women Empowered (Life Skills Facilitator Program); and the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard (affordable summer camp).
