Happy 90th, Helen!

Helen Duarte turned 90 years old on July 15, 2009. On July 11, her daughter Shirley Fauteux hosted a family birthday party at her home in Falmouth. All of her three children attended, along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was the first time she had met her grandson’s baby daughter, Madison Fauteux. It was a great surprise.

The next day, the family traveled back to the Vineyard to attend a second surprise party held by her friends, family and church. About 150 people attended. The was a live band, and the hosts were Brenda and Derek Cruz.

Helen even received a birthday card from President Obama! Lots of fun, dancing and surprises were had by all.
