Even tho’ I keep a pencil by

my phone

Ready to use in case of need

I find that I should have had its clone

Since a readied pencil is a

Special breed.

Ring Ring Hello! Yes I’ll get a

Pencil

Oh! Where is it? Oh Where?

I start becoming apprehensial.

It’s not here! It’s not there!

Although it has a specific place

And should remain in its zone

That does not seem to be the case.

It seems hidden from the phone.

Oh! There on the floor,

So obviously existential, Is the frustrating chore,
